April 14, 2006, Newsletter Issue #35: Ridged fingernails, fibro and the yeast beast.

Tip of the Week

Many fibromites not only donīt have half moons on any of their nails except the thumbs, but can also see vertical ridges in each nail - sometimes faint but sometimes quite pronounced. The medical theory is that this is a fungal infection on the nail bed, probably related to the candida which plagues us so often. Acidopholus tablets, which can be purchased over the counter at most pharmacies, may be as helpful here as it is for candida in other areas of the body.
