How can I get a more comfortable night´s sleep?

Pain and sleep problems

One cause of poor sleep is pain. We may find that we wake several times in the night because of cramping, sudden muscle spasms, or simply because we get stiff and begin to hurt. Doctors often prescribe muscle relaxants instead of sleeping pills for this reason – they relax the areas that are most likely to cause us to wake in the night.

I also found out that the reason I would wake up exhausted was that I had Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Literally, I'd stop breathing in my sleep. My body would spend SO much energy trying to keep me alive, that I'd wake up exhausted. I've had my C-PAP since Nov, and now I wake up feeling refreshed.

If exhaustion or snoring plagues you, ask your dr about a sleep study.

I take 10mg of flexeril and 5mg valium every night and still hurt. Last night I was awakened by elbow and shoulder pain. OUCH...

I find that Arnica Montana does wonders. You can do a search in google and find gobs of information on it.

I discovered through just chatting with other fibromites that Arnica Montana has a wonderful side-effect... It helps you sleep. Once I figured out how much and how often to take it I have far less pain and sleep a whole lot better. It helps too if you have a good bed.
